I was able to see Skrillex live the other night. It was definitely an awesome experience. He has some really good songs, but more importantly he is a really good DJ. His set lasted an hour and a half and was well mixed with both fast and slow as well as recognizable and new songs. It really is hard to call them songs since the music never ended. Like any good DJ the music just flowed. The show was at an open venue on campus and open to anyone at OSU. Being in the back you get a mix of people that are there for the show and others just to be there cause others are. At the beginning you could tell the difference between those two groups of people, but by the end there was no difference. By the end everyone was dancing, or trying to dance. It is always interesting to see how others interpret the music. Some flail, some bounce, some do other stuff, but it is still the same music. Amazing. So if you have a chance to see Skrillex, or Nero, or any other good dubstep artist go. You just might find yourself moving by the end.

Talking Shit

I’m surprised how often, when I walk into a bathroom in a work environment, that there is someone in a stall and talking on their cell phone. At least I hope they are talking on their cell phone. Then I begin to worry that they are talking to themselves. It then becomes a mad rush to finish and leave before they leave the stall. If they were on their cellphone, they would hopefully finish the conversation before leaving. But then when they do leave the stall it looks like they were talking to themselves. Therefore I usually assume that they are crazy.

Moral of the story is don’t talk on your phone in a bathroom, and if you find someone doing this leave immediately because they are crazy. Also, don’t talk to me while your taking a shit.

My Laptop is Dead

Skrillex has seen a huge rise in popularity as of late. He has even been nominated for a few Grammies. He just released a new album called Bangarang. He teamed up with a lot of familiar artists and this song with The Doors is probably the best song on the album.
